Drop-In Groups For Discernment Therapists

The Discernment Lab

What it is:

  • bi-Weekly meet up for anyone training or trained in DC

  • Thursdays 1:00-2:00 EST

  • come one time or get a package and use as needed over the year

  • facilitated by Lyn Martin (Master Practitioner in DC)

Each Lab is a mix of:

  • case consultation for stuck or complex couples

  • real-world questions about running a discernment practice

  • consultations that don’t turn into scheduling chaos

  • money conversations that don’t feel awkward or avoidant

  • whatever is actually happening in your work right now

This is for you if:

  • you’re working with leaning in / leaning out dynamics and want another brain in the room

  • your consultations feel messy, long, or unclear

  • you’re trying to grow discernment in your practice without guessing your way through it

  • you want a space that gets the nuance of this work

A wooden desk cluttered with various office items including an old-fashioned beige rotary phone, a beige coffee mug filled with coffee, a pair of eyeglasses, a notebook or sketchpad with graph paper, a yellow dice, a white marker, an orange pen, and a roll of tape. There are also some large green leaves and a bookshelf or bookcase with a decorative border.

Packages with Flexibility

Want to join more often, but not sure what your schedule will look like?

Lab Pass Packages let you buy several sessions at once and use them as needed. You still register for each Lab you attend, but Acuity keeps track of your remaining passes, so no one has to wander into spreadsheet swamp.

Use a pass for clinical questions, practice-building questions, consultation setup, stuck cases, money conversations, or whatever discernment counseling puzzle is currently chewing on your sleeve.

Best for therapists who want a regular space without committing to every meeting.

Investment: $20 per drop-in

Or Buy 5-20 Pass Packages

A pink modern chair is positioned in front of a wooden desk with an old-fashioned computer keyboard and monitor. A white bookshelf filled with books is against the wall, with a large green houseplant on top of it. Sunlight is coming through the window blinds, illuminating the workspace.
